| Kirkby Lane
Situated on a beautiful site in North Yorkshire, this design looks to create a modern, family farmhouse, that has a distinct connection to the land and views beyond. The design centres the home around the kitchen/diner in a stunning, light-filled, double height space. The bed and living spaces which flank this central volume have a more intimate scale and character to create a lovely balance of living spaces. The use of a rustic red brick and horizontal timber cladding will bring a warmth and natural character to help the building settle into its landscape.
Using the Passivhaus Planning Package we have adjusted the design to ensure a comfortable living environment that has extremely low running costs and a well-balanced use of daylight.
We hope to see this project progress to site over the coming months.
