For You.
This is Your Project, not ours. We will listen, and our aim is to create designs that reflect you, your needs, your preferences in design and reflect the way that you live.
Comfort *
Your project shouldn’t be cold, or hot. It should have fantastic air quality, and be free of nasty chemicals. This balance is thoroughly considered across all our projects.
Low Bills
We will keep your energy bills to an absolute minimum. This is part and parcel of good environmental design and an essential consideration of our design process. How do we do this (see Environmental Design)
Collaboration *
Collaboration is key throughout the process of designing and building a project. Whether this is with you, within our studio design team, with external consultants or the people who will build your project.
Clarity
We hope to provide clarity through all that we do. We want our relationships with our clients to be open and trusting. If you have questions or concerns, we always want to have an open discussion, and see where we can help.
Natural Light *
We believe that access to natural light is essential in any design. Research shows natural light in buildings has a massive impact on our health and wellbeing.
Passivhaus Certified Designers
We have the skills inhouse to ...
Affordability
Our design has to be affordable for you. This might sound simple, but it isn’t always easy. We discuss your budget and what might be achievable for your budget at an early stage. We will then constantly evaluate the design in the context of your budget, and work with you through to completion to ensure that your project is achievable.
Croft Builds
All of our team have experience of construction, through personal and research projects. Our knowledge from these builds feeds into our design process to give a better understanding of materials and buildability. This also brings a confidence of what to expect when discussing details and quality onsite.
BIM
We use the latest Building Information Modelling (BIM)

Crafted
Craft is important, in the way we design, the choice of materials, and through our collaboration with craftspeople to realise your building. We love to see the craft that has gone into the building in the finished result. Through tactile materials, through quality of design and construction.
Context -DISCARD?-
Designing with respect to the immediate context is hugely important to us. A design has to work with its surroundings, to ground it within the locality and add to it's longevity.
Conservation
We love the rich heritage and character of our existing buildings. We believe in a sensitive and respectful approach to working with existing buildings.
